The SLH is a unit of 5-8 postgraduate level qualifying students led by a Professional Education Consultant (PEC), who is responsible for educating and contributing to the assessment of the practice of students on placement in our local authorities.
Students are placed within teams – coming together as a learning hub with the PECs through group supervision and skills workshops. This new model provides teams with additional support for practice educators and supervisors and the added value that a group learning model brings for students.
The PPDH focuses on developing direct work grounded in day-to-day practice and is orientated to our innovative education and professional learning pathway – Teaching Relationships in Practice (TRIP).
- Practitioners Who Teach
- Academics in Practice
- KSS champions.
The Practice Research Hub is embedding research firmly in frontline practice creating a virtuous circle of education-practice-research. Practitioners will drive the questions to be answered by research and academics will support research activities that promote improvements in practice.
