Wellbeing research project

Anna Bouch (PEC at Brighton & Hove City Council) worked with Jackie Lelkes (Senior Lecturer at the University of Brighton) looking at the concept of wellbeing in the context of the Care Act.

The team completed individual and group interviews with social workers and senior social workers in one area of the service. Two questions were asked:

  1. What is your understanding of the concept of wellbeing?
  2. What is your understanding of the concept of wellbeing from the perspective of a service user with reduced mental capacity?

Anna and Jackie have now completed the project and you can download the summary.

"It has been invaluable to work so closely with the university and get that guidance on research methodology - this is one of the great advantages of the teaching partnership."
